Low-income residents of Ohio are able to apply for free legal assistance from legal aid organizations and non-profits operating in different regions of the state. The legal areas covered by these organizations include housing, family law, public benefits, consumer law, and immigration.

Community Legal Aid (Northeast Ohio)

  • Legal Areas: Housing, family law, education, public benefits, criminal record sealing, drivers license reinstatement, taxes, consumer law, and immigration.

  • Free Advice: Residents of northwest Ohio with civil legal issues may apply for free legal services. Generally, those with incomes less than 125% of the federal poverty level (or 200% in some cases) are eligible to apply.
