A resident of Minnesota who is considered low-income can apply for free legal advice from several statewide and regional organizations. Residents can apply via telephone or through an online intake process in some circumstances. Legal services are also available to immigrants and other members of marginalized communities living in Minnesota.

- Free Advice: VLN offers free legal assistance to low-income individuals who have legal issues in Minnesota. Eligibility for services is determined based on household income in conjunction with other factors.

- Free Advice: In Minnesota, the Immigrant Law Center provides assistance for current DACA holders, people detained by ICE, applicants for U.S. citizenship, refugees and asylum seekers, and non-citizen survivors of abuse, abandonment, and other crimes.
